4th March 2025Spring is upon us!
Finally, Spring and with it, warmer settled weather is arriving…the time to get outside and look at any potential external painting jobs.
As the seasons change, it is important that you are aware of the optimum weather and temperature conditions for maximising your painting opportunities.
Spring is with us from 20 March and what a great time for those external projects such as painting roofs, tennis courts, swimming pools, pool houses and ponds. Get planning & preparing before painting!
Who isn’t looking forward to longer, lighter days? Well, British Summer Time is also very nearly upon us (and not a day too soon!). The clocks change on the last Sunday of March every year in the UK, moving forward by one hour. This marks the beginning of British Summer Time (BST). In 2025 the clocks go forward on 30 March at 1am and we will have nearly 13 hours of daylight! Life is feeling much brighter indeed.
If you are the lucky owner or keeper of a swimming pool or tennis court, you may well be yearning for those warmer, brighter days and evenings when you can fully enjoy the use of your precious outside recreation areas. To be certain of taking full advantage when the time comes, you really should be starting your swimming pool or court maintenance and re-painting now. BUY NOW and get outside for Spring! Our A109 range, A1040 Multi Purpose Paint and our Chlorinated Rubber Coatings (R10, RP10, R34, R35) are all suitable for current conditions and are certainly worth having available within your "portfolio" of Spring paints.
The prolonged cold and very wet Winter may have left damage to surfaces that will need attention before painting. The freeze/thaw action has broken down asphalt and tarmac surfaces and blown many poorly protected concrete surfaces such as tennis courts, pools and roofing areas in particular. Many will need cutting out and replacement sections put in place.
Technical Paints offer a full free advisory service to help you before you paint. Just email us with a broad outline of your project, ideally with photos to show the condition of the substrate. We will assess your situation and give you our recommendations along with a painting specification and timings to help achieve your end result. If the condition of the substrate is too damaged or outside of our product range, then we will advise you accordingly.
We are pleased to receive enquiries of a technical nature. Call us on 01202 295 570 or email us with your enquiry.
