Case Study: Conservatory Too Hot? How A109 Paint Made It Comfortable Again.
At Technical Paint Services, we often hear from customers with older conservatories that have become too hot, too bright, or simply uncomfortable due to excessive sunlight. One such customer, Mr Ronald Van Dyk, recently contacted us for help with his 15-year-old polycarbonate conservatory roof.
The issue? Unbearable heat and glare making the room unsuitable for relaxation or watching television.
To block all incoming sunlight effectively, we recommended A109 High Performance Paint in White Gloss - a durable, professional-grade solution specifically designed for interior conservatory roofs.
After thoroughly cleaning the surface, Mr Van Dyk:
- Sanded lightly with 120-grit paper
- Vacuumed and wiped down the area
- Applied three coats of A109, allowing 24 hours drying time between each
- To achieve total light blockage, a fourth coat was applied, resulting in a fully opaque finish and a noticeable improvement in temperature and brightness levels.
As shown in his progress photos, the transformation is clear. Mr Van Dyk can now enjoy a cooler, more shaded conservatory - and finally watch TV in comfort!
